The fashion designer will give a series of conferences and workshops in the country in September.

Next September, the IED team will travel to Perú with Ainoa Casullas, fashion and accessories designer, teacher-tutor and alumni from IED Madrid.

During her visit, she will give a series of workshops and conferences with our partners in Perú. From September 30th to October 4th, she will visit some of the most renowned universities in that country that offer programs linked to the creative industries sector.

“Roots that inspire. "Redefining contemporary design from tradition and craftsmanship" is the title of the conference, which invites designers and creatives to rediscover the richness of tradition as a driver of innovation in modern design. It will explore how ancestral craft techniques and Cultural values ​​can be reinterpreted and fused with contemporary approaches to create unique and avant-garde designs.

About Ainoa Casullas

After graduating in Fashion Design at IED Madrid in 2003, Ainoa began her professional career within the world of fashion and design, working for different companies in the sector in Spain, such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Davidelfin or El Corte Inglés. 

In 2012, during her stay in Rio de Janeiro, she specialized in the artisanal manufacture of jewelry and goldsmithing. 

In 2014 she created Corres Madrid, her jewelry brand with its own point of sale and workshop, with which she obtained several awards, as well as extensive recognition in the specialized press (Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, SModa, etc.) During those years she combined her project staff with consulting, teaching, design and production tasks for other brands such as Helena Rohner, Carmen March, Pedro del Hierro and Angel Schlesser, among others. 

She is currently the creative director of Oktaaf, an international antique-based luxury jewelry brand. In recent months, together with two other partners, he has founded Barbada Estudio, a coworking and training space specialized in jewelry in Carabanchel, the art district of Madrid.
