Designing a sustainable future with the help of Adele Orcajada and the IED in Chile
Next April, the IED team will travel to Chile with Adele Orcajada, accessories- fashion designer and product developer. She is also coordinator and teacher of the Master in Fashion Design and Circular Economy at the IED Kunsthal Bilbao..
During her visit, Adele Orcajada will give a series of workshops and conferences with our partners in Chile. From April 21st to 22nd, she will visit some of the most renowned universities and high schools in that country that offer programs related to the creative industries field.
“Designing a sustainable future” is the name of the conference that will take place in Santiago de Chile and will address topics such as new materials to shape the future of design and sustainability. Biodegradable plastics or vegan leathers, among others, offer sustainable alternatives to traditional resources. These are innovations that not only have a positive and regenerative impact on the planet, but also pave the way towards circular design, in which materials can be reused or recycled.
